Victoria Park Community Trust are delighted to announce that the first phase of signage has been installed in the park, explaining the new plantings adjacent to the Expressway and on the north side of the park at VPD North. We hope park users will understand our plans to introduce new plants for their biodiversity for birds and bugs and more pleasing for our park users to screen the busy, noisy traffic. The signs explain the purpose of the plants and their importance in biodiversity.
The signs were kindly installed at no cost by Cairn Building Services by Harry and Lee. The details of each sign are shown below if anyone isn’t able to see the signs or is simply curious. Friends had another good day today doing our regular gardening, weeding, removing overgrown brambles, clearing paths and thanks to Gisela for litter picking around the Nature Walk and Westland. Today was a fine day and actually warm for October and we think we made a good impact on the tidying. Thanks to everyone. FoVP.
